It doesn’t matter if the wedding cake falls off of its stand and crashes face first onto the table. It doesn’t matter…if you have a delicious Mitchell’s ice cream station all ready to go. In 7 years of photographing weddings, I don’t recall any other cakes meeting the demise of their perfect frosting. But, it was still cut-able, and still smash-able, and the guests had ice cream! (And on a side note, BIG breath of relief that it wasn’t us that knocked the cake over! Ha!)
Aside from that minor misstep, Ben and Ashley had a beautiful, flawless wedding day. The weather was fantastic, the people were warm, and we had a great time at my favorite spot in Fairview Park for formal portraits. The ceremony with dramatic lighting took place at Middleburg Heights’ Grace Church. The reception was at a new-to-us venue- The Pavilion at St. Clarence in North Olmsted. Party favors included sunflower seeds from the Prayers From Maria field in Avon. I planted mine the other day, and am eager to see them grow.
