I guess I never realized, despite being active in local dog agility competitions, just how large a St. Bernard can be. But, I totally love when couples incorporate their fur kids into their engagement sessions. Dogs really are family, and add to the fun.
Huntington Reservation/BayArts was the perfect location for Jenn and Dan’s session, because it is where they are getting married next year. So that may lead you to think, why use that location now, vs on the wedding day? Plan is to head downtown for a totally different vibe on the wedding day. Perfect! Use the engagement session to get a different look from the wedding photos, to avoid over duplicating. (And bring your dogs!)
But as far as locations go, this spot really has it going on (and judging by the multitude of photographers there this day, the cat’s out of the bag, so to speak). In just a few short steps, we had artsy mural, Victorian home, rustic field, and then amazing sunset at Lake Erie!
Thank goodness for these last few warm days of fall, as we had to reschedule this session a few times to get to this nice weather. I’m glad we did, and it worked out perfectly.
